CIAJ is delighted to announce that the recipient of the 2011 Charles D. Gonthier Fellowship is Professor Martine Valois from the Faculty of Law, University of Montreal, Quebec.  Professor Valois will present results of her research project La nouvelle fonction des tribunaux judiciaires dans les systèmes juridiques modernes at CIAJ’s Annual Conference in Calgary this October.  

The Charles D. Gonthier Research Fellowship of $6,000 is awarded annually by the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice to an academic selected by the jury who will best research the topic of CIAJ’s annual conference.  The research committee invites the CIAJ community to bring this award to the attention of their colleagues, faculty members and students.
